Summer Sun

"Not a Care in the World"

I don't know if you are as sick of winter as I am but I had to post these pictures from our Door County trip from last summer.... I love the one of the three boys (Zach, Nick and Tyler) walking along the beach. The memory of the sun in my face and the sand between my toes came flooding back to me.
The other picture is of Zach throwing rocks into the water, I have to wonder what he is thinking when he is doing it. He found a million shells and smooth rocks that day and made me bring them home in my pocket. Has he ever asked to see them again? No but I have them in a zip lock baggy I guess more for myself and the memory of him being a care free eleven year old little boy finding treasures from under his feet.
I remember the picnic lunch on the grass that day and the sun was so hot we even complained about it and had to find some relief under a shade tree to shelter our burning shoulders. I keep telling myself I am one day closer to sitting under the shade tree trying to find relief of the hot summer sun. I guess that is why we live in Wisconsin, to enjoy the seasons! But as of now I am DONE enjoying WINTER!!
