Ok I am really trying to get through this month and hope that SPRING arrives SOON, but man it is so hard when the thermometer reads -18 below. I snapped a picture of the play yard that hasn't seen a child in it for over 7 weeks. We did go outside when the weather was in the mid 20's and built a snowman but that lasted 15 minutes until someone's boot fell off in the snow, mittens are wet and fingers are freezing. Then I hear "I'm cold Kelly can we go in"? It is very difficult to get 7 kids (all under the age of 5) to want to stay outside for more than 15 minutes, it takes me longer then that to get them all dressed in their snowsuits.... UGH!
As a day care provider the hardest months for me are February and March and I still have 7 weeks until the warm April showers. I tell myself every morning before getting out of bed "One day closer to Spring, hang in there" and I get up and start my day.
One more thing to be thankful for "IT'S FRIDAY"!
